He says, "Jogging is the exact opposite type of exercise I prescribe to patients who come to my clinic looking to get into phenomenal shape." He also mentions that "Injury and intense pain is common among long distance runners.". In his latest newsletter, Dr. Al Sears says these are the things joggers that come into his office complain about:
*Back pain
*Knee pain
*Foot pain
*Neck pain
*Degenerative discs
*Sciatica
*Arthritis
My mom used to jog on the treadmill, now she just walks on it. Why? Her knee started to hurt her really bad, as did her foot. Jogging is very hard on our body, so do yourself a favor and don't jog long distances on a regular basis. Don't take it up as your regular exercise routine. Just walk. To get in shape, take on other aerobic activities and resistance training programs. You will save your body from pain in the future.
